About Mrs. B.
My name is Kendra Bergen and I'm one of the Grade 3/4 teachers and the Grade 5 - 9 French teacher at Cascade Christian School in Chilliwack, B.C. This is my third year at Cascade, and second year teaching Grade 3/4 here.
Mr. Bergen, my husband, helps keep the home front running when he's not at work. We met in high school when we were in the same Band class! We have two beautiful children, Sarah, who is 9, and Parker, who is 8. They are my busy bees, keeping me on my toes when the school day is done (and sometimes even when it's not!). Sarah loves to dance and Parker enjoys hockey and baseball. We also have a Golden Retriever named Indianna and an orange and white cat named Princess.
Prior to having children I taught Grades 4 and 5 with Edmonton Public Schools. Although born and raised in Chilliwack, B.C., I completed my post-secondary education (Bachelor of Arts with Distinction and Bachelor of Education with High Distinction) at Concordia University in Edmonton. I moved back to Chilliwack in 2008 to be closer to my family.
My favourite things to do when I have a moment to spare are spending time with my family, relaxing at Cultus Lake at my family's cabin, playing piano, reading, taking photos, finding heaps of great ideas on Pinterest and going for coffee with friends!
