January 24, 2014

We had our first FSA practice for the Grade 4's today, with a focus on Numeracy in Math. They (and the 3's because we figured they could use the practice too) had 30 minutes to answer two word problems. It was tougher than any of the students thought it would be, mainly because the didn't completely a see the question. We reviewed the correct answer together so that they knew what was expected.

Then we headed off to swimming which was great. Thanks to Stephanie Hampson for helping with driving this time!

The weather today was spectacular and the children really enjoyed the sunshine at lunch, skipping and playing soccer.

We had Science after lunch and finished off discussing different kinds of animals that live in various habitats and started our next section about adaptations. The children were fascinated with a video I shared about camouflage.

Then it was off to PE. Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
