The students started their day with Mrs. Everett doing devotions and the Spelling Test and Memory Verse. This year they are expected to write out their memory verses.
Then the Grade 3's continued reading Henry and the Clubhouse and answering some questions about it. The Grade 4's worked with me on Math, building some patterns using the pattern blocks and answering questions about continuing patterns. After recess we swapped subjects.
Then we worked on our Bio Poems (some students are now done), and our Poetry Anthologies (for those who were done) for 20 minutes.
At that point we ventured off to the computer lab, where we started using All the Right Type. The students generally enjoyed this activity (a typing drill game) and we'll do it again next Friday. Word processing is such an essential skill these days, and this is a perfect age to acquire it.
After a beautifully sunny lunch play time, we continued with our Science experiments, this time making a xylophone (ask your child what we did!).
The students ended their day with P.E. with Mr. Banman.
Have a wonderful weekend! :)
