May is here! What a beautiful start we had to it as well.
Today began with Bible, and we focused on Luke 12:22-31 again, talking about things that worried us (I was amazed at how many worries these sweet children have on their hearts, primarily about family and friends and their health and well-being. Pray for their worries to ease, and for them to have confidence that the Lord will take care of everything! Remind them of this verse that we studied, and maybe work through it as a family at home too.).
Then we had Handwriting and the 3's worked on upper-case N and M, and the 4's did some review. For Grammar today the 3's worked on writing correct sentences and paragraphs while the 4's did review here as well.
After recess, the class had Music, and then DPA, followed by Math where we continued our work with bar graphs. I've had some parents ask when the Grade 3's will learn multiplication and division and when the 4's will work on 2 and 3 digit multiplication and division. Rest assured, it's coming! We'll be doing this for the latter half of May and all of June. It's a great time of year to learn it, as it can be easily practiced through the summer, and they'll have it fresh in their minds for Grade 4 and 5.
Then we had Art in the afternoon and finished off our umbrella artwork that the class began with Mrs. Takeda last week when I was at a professional development session. Chapel was led today by Mrs. Campbell.
