May 2, 2014

It's the weekend!  I hope you all have some wonderful family time planned for the next two days, despite the weather forecast that is so sadly different from the past few days!

We started our day with devotions and prayer requests, and then went on to the Spelling test and memory verse check. This was followed by some guided reading time using our readers.

After recess we had Math, and the 3's had some fun collecting data from Mrs. Bloch's class and the 4's delved into some challenging problem solving.  We will have a graphing test next Friday, so if you'd like to practice at home, feel free to ask your child to bring his or her textbook home.  For extra practice, here are some links to check out:

Then we were off to the lab to work on publishing our fairytales. Some students are done now, and most are nearly finished. We will work on title pages on Monday and then they'll be printed off for display!

Our day culminated with Science. We started working on severe weather today, which is always a hot topic for students!  Each child got to choose a topic from five and do some research using resources provided. We will finish these next week.

To send you off on your weekend with a smile, here's a photo I snapped of our class while they were under the supervision of our awesome librarian, Mrs. McNutt.  :)
